Recently I got several joyful staffs. I tried Firefox 3.0Beta5 on Mac, it's really improved a lot, especially in the supporting of chinese characters. The Aqua interface, which is consistent with the other native application on Mac, is really fascinating! The "Smart Bookmarks" is really a good idea. Besides all of these, the most important improvement is the surfing speed. It's much faster than its precedents, at least on Mac machines. I am not trying to get involved into the debate of which browser is the best. However it's obvious that so far Firefox is my best choice so that I would like to recommend it. Just try it, as well as try some amazing add-ons. It's hard to not love it.
I have been used Emacs for a while, especially in producing my paperwork by LaTeX with the seamlessly incorporated AUCTeX. For a long time, I used Carbon Emacs on my Mac. Several days ago, I tried the Aqua Emacs, which is more compatible with the Mac environment. Things become easier after I use Aqua Emacs to produce my paperwork.
Another good one is just the NYT website. The articles on this website is really amazing. They are well-organized, critical on word usage, convenient on cross-ref etc. I think it's really a good place of both learning written English and gaining insights of the world from the western perspective.
